Net Metering Process

• Obtain local permits if needed, such as zoning or archictectural.
• Submit Interconnection Application and Application Fee to San Isabel Electric.
• Qualification for Net Metering based on renewable energy system equipment specifications supplied with Application will be determined by San Isabel Electric.
• Submit Agreement for Net Metering.
• Obtain electrical permit.
• Install qualifying renewable energy system
• Obtain electrical permit final inspection and approval
• Submit Certificate of Completion with copies of permits and certification of minimum insurance requirement coverage to San Isabel Electric
• Schedule San Isabel Electric on-site disconnect switch inspection, automatic disconnect test, and meter exchange to new Net Meter.
• Witness on-site test and meter exchange by San Isabel Electric representative.

Do not close switch to backfeed renewable generating source through San Isabel Electric meter before San Isabel Electric representative conducts on-site test and signs Authorization to Connect (Agreement Exhibit B).
