Pole Mapping

San Isabel Electric has contracted Fast Forward to help ensure mapping location accuracy of our new poles after the fire and floods.

Pole Mapping in the Burn Scar

You may see a Fast Forward truck and UTV working in the burn scar during September and October, driving along roadways, and SIEA rights-of-way, during the week and weekends.

The vehicles have a roof-mounted camera, similar to Google’s Street View cameras. The vehicles will feature Fast Forward branding, and employees will be wearing branded clothing.

WHAT:

  • Fast Forward will be driving a branded truck and a SIEA employee will be driving a Fast Forward branded UTV
  • Roof-mounted camera captures panoramic pictures with a 360° view
  • Data can only be accessed by SIEA and Fast Forward. Images will only be used by SIEA for company use and not shared externally in any way.

WHEN:

  • September – October 2026
  • Driving during the daytime only
  • Working weekdays and weekends

WHY:

  • To validate our existing GIS data of pole locations
  • System inventory

WHERE:

  • The Aspen Acres Burn Scar
  • Roadways and our rights-of-way
