Electric Thermal Storage (ETS) heaters are 100% efficient heating units designed to provide low-cost heat, 24 hours a day. When you choose ETS heat you also get nearly half-price electricity for all of your electricity needs, 14-hours per day in the winter, and 8-hours per day in the summer. How do I get one?
ETS heating is a low-cost, safe, reliable, comfortable option if you’re tired of the fluctuations in heating fuel costs, or need a more cost- and energy- efficient solution. Electric thermal storage systems are highly versatile, can be sized to heat a room, multiple units, or can be installed to heat a whole house or business. They work well for retrofits, additions, and new construction because they are small in size and easy to install.

Congratulations to San Isabel Electric member Patty Knupp, the winner of our first “For the Love of ETS” photo contest. Of the 281 votes that were cast for the 26 entries in the contest, Knupp’s picture of her “labr-a-cat” Eddie sleeping on top of “his” electric thermal storage heater. Their entry, number four, received 133 of the votes. Knupp and Eddie won the grand prize of a $100 bill credit. Each member that entered the contest and posted a photo received a $15 bill credit. 2 are better than one! We have two ETS units…one in the living room and the other in the kitchen. These keep our home warm during the night so we no longer must get up in the middle of the night to keep the wood stove going. Perfect!

Love this heater! To be sure no one thinks the switch is for the hall light, we used our 3-D printer to make a “Frankenstein” switch cover (highlighted). The time-of-day rates that accompany the installation have been a boon for our electric bills.
