Tools to help you stay on top of your energy use

INTRODUCING THE NEW OFF-PEAK PLUS RATE!

OFF-PEAK = HALF-PRICE POWER

The new Off-Peak Plus rate offers nearly half-price electricity during off-peak hours when demand on the grid is the lowest.

How it works: Time-of-Day (TOD) rates, like the Off-Peak Plus Rate, are a lot like off-season travel or matinee movie tickets. The product is the same, but the price depends on timing.

Who it’s for: Members who can avoid using electricity during on-peak hours and use the vast majority of their electricity during off-peak hours.

Benefits:

  • Nearly half-price electricity for 20 hours each day Monday – Saturday and all day Sunday.
  • Great for battery-storage, electric vehicle, and electric thermal storage (ETS) owners, but anyone can choose this rate.

Note: Members must stay on the Off-Peak Plus rate for a minimum of 12 months following enrollment.

SMARTHUB TOOLS

SmartHub is San Isabel Electric Association’s app that helps members see and manage their electricity use and bills. Some popular and helpful tools in SmartHub include:

  • Usage Explorer provides energy usage data down to the hour, so members can identify high-energy consumption times.
  • Budget Gauge sets a target monthly budget amount and uses your daily usage data to help you analyze your monthly bill relative to that target.
  • Usage Alerts help detect unusual spikes in electricity usage to get ahead of the problem before using more electricity than desired. (Recommended for second-home owners, not ideal for members living at the service address.)

  • Prepaid Billing allows you to pay on your
    own schedule. No deposit is required. You
    can monitor electric usage and your account
    balance, and prepay for your electricity.
  • Budget Billing allows member-owners to pay
    a set amount each month.
