Walsenburg, CO – San Isabel Electric is deeply saddened by the trauma the Spring Fire is causing our Members and employees affected by the fire. We know there has been critical infrastructure damage and we are standing by with materials and contractor assistance to re-enter the burn area when emergency managers give us approval.

Due to the fire, there are several hundred meters out in the Forbes Park area. The main line to the Forbes Park area has been destroyed. We may have to take more meters out of service if there is an eminent threat to electrical infrastructure or by the request of fire managers.

Members seeking information related the Spring Fire can call the Spring Fire public information line at 719-695-9573. The line is staffed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

We will work closely with fire managers at the appropriate time, to discuss re-entry and safe power restoration.  Life safety is the focus of fire managers at this time. We will have a better idea of the scope of the work involved to make repairs and safely restore power when we can re-enter and survey the area. We are dedicated to tirelessly working to restore power to the areas affected by the fire as quickly and safely as possible, once emergency managers grant access.
