Unclaimed capital credits are typically the result of San Isabel Electric having members’ incorrect contact information. Capital credits may continue to be mailed many years after credits are earned; please ensure San Isabel Electric always has your current mailing address.
SEARCHING AND CLAIMING YOUR CAPITAL CREDITS IS QUICK AND EASY
You can search an online database at siea.com/capital credits to check if we owe capital credits to you or one of your family members. If you’re a current or former member and find your name, you can fill out an online claim, email capitalcredits@siea.com, or give us a call at 800-279-SIEA (7432) to start a claim.
Each year, we publish a list of names of members who have $10 or more in unclaimed capital credit. You can find this list in the April issue of Colorado Country Life and in area newspapers. A full list of members with capital credits in their name will be published on the co-op’s website at siea.com/capitalcredits by June 1. If a member-owner has not claimed their unclaimed capital credit after three years, the co-op cannot use the money to operate the company, per state law. So, the board redirects the money through our community donation and sponsorship program.
Please email us with your name and updated address to capitalcredits@siea.com or contact our office at 800-279-7432 and ask for the capital credits department.
