Dennis Maroney is presently serving  on the San Isabel Electric Board of Directors, representing District 2.  He was first elected to the San Isabel Electric Association, Inc. Board of Directors in 2013. Mr. Maroney is a Professional Engineer with a BES degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Colorado. He is a Cooperative Credentialed Director, Board Leadership Certified, and holds the Director Gold Credential from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.

Mr. Maroney recently retired from 28 years of service for the City of Pueblo. He served as Construction Engineer, Drainage Engineer, and four years as Director of Pueblo’s Storm Water Utility.

Mr. Maroney is the past President of the Greenhorn Valley Chamber of Commerce (Rye/Colorado City) and is currently serving as the President of the Colorado City/Rye Lions Club. He serves as the City/County appointee on the Pueblo Conservancy District Board of Directors.

He and his wife, Paula, have seven children and 23 grandchildren. All their children attended local schools and graduated from Rye High School.  Mr. Maroney and his family have lived in their passive solar home southwest of Rye for the last 45 years.
