San Isabel Electric still has 38 $80 bill credits to give away to members to celebrate the electric co-op’s 80th anniversary.

The co-op will be giving away a total of $3,040 in the next four months to members who pay their electric bill with the SmartHub app or online with SmartHub. The 80th anniversary contest wraps up on November 15, 2019.

$3,360 in $80 bill credits have been awarded to 42 recipients since the contest began with the co-op’s November electric bill.

  • 6 winners in Huerfano County
  • 6 winners in Las Animas County
  • 30 winners in Pueblo County

“What we’ve been doing for the last 80 years is important, but we realize what’s more important is what we’re doing today. SmartHub is one of the many ways we’re trying to make our members’ lives easier and save them time and money,” General Manager Reg Rudolph said.

To enter to win an $80 bill credit on your electric bill, you simply must be a San Isabel Electric member and pay your power bill in full on or before the due date online with SmartHub or with the SmartHub mobile app.

SmartHub is San Isabel Electric’s account management tool. It’s available online or as a mobile app for both Apple and Android devices. Printable and video how-to tutorials for how to download and use SmartHub are available on the $80 for 80 members 80th anniversary webpage, siea.com/80.

Members can pay their bill, manager their energy usage down to the hour, report and monitor outages and more with SmartHub. San Isabel Electric rolled out the SmartHub app in 2015. About 40 percent of San Isabel Electric members use SmartHub online or the mobile app to pay their bill.

$80 bill credit winners are chosen randomly on the 18th of every month, or the nearest weekday to the 18th. Winners are notified by email and their bill credit is applied to the following month’s bill.

The co-op has been awarding $80 bill credits to six members a month, chosen randomly, since December 2018. Ten members will be chosen during the last two months of the contest.
