San Isabel Electric Association’s annual meeting is just around the corner.

This year the co-op will be celebrating its 85th year of bringing electricity and other services to southern Colorado.   

  

Mark the calendar for Saturday, September 16, 2023, for a day of family fun. Doors open at 10 a.m.   

  

Win prizes  

Try your luck at BINGO to win a prize purchased from a local business worth up to $50. Random door prizes will be drawn throughout the day. One grand prize winner will receive free electricity for one year, up to $1,500. Member attendees will also receive a hand-crafted mug from a local potter. Members must be on-site when their name is drawn to be eligible to win prizes or receive the annual meeting gift.   

  

Free snacks  

Enjoy donuts, coffee, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, tea, and water while you mingle.   

  

Explore electric vehicles   

Get the lowdown on electric vehicles at the EV Experience booth. We’ll have a Ford-150 Lightning, Tesla, and Nissan Leaf on display with experts available to answer questions.   

  

Sign-up for a free energy assessment   

San Isabel Electric’s energy-efficiency program, Empower, is southern Colorado’s only all-in-one energy efficiency retail, installation, and financing provider. We offer heating and cooling products, water heaters, generators, solar, insulation and more. Sign-up for a free energy assessment to review your electricity usage data with an energy expert to determine what energy-efficiency upgrades best suit your lifestyle and budget.    

  

For the young at heart   

Don’t miss the hair-raising Story Behind the Switch booth. Get bucket truck tattoos, take home a foldable bucket truck, sticker sheets, and check out interactive experiments to learn about energy. Motivated students won’t want to miss our Youth Outreach booth to learn about scholarships and a two week-long, all-expense-paid leadership trips.   

  

Lunch and business meeting   

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Then, the business meeting and the election of new directors will start at 1:00 p.m.
